We are on a new server!
March 2, 2008

If you are one of our customers who likes to be "first in the door", you may have noticed that our server was struggling to keep up with the demand in the first couple of hours after a BuckaCover upload recently. It was like too big a crowd at the opening of a stamp show -- everybody jossling each other out of the way, and nobody getting the attention they wanted!

To fix the problem, we just moved to a brand new server. This one should be be able to keep up. It has four times the computing power of our old one, a faster hard drive and double the memory.

Roy had to re-write some of our code for the new server, so there is a chance some bugs may appear in the software. If you encounter any strange or unusual behaviour on the site, please be sure to let us know, with as much detail as possible.
